The Blue Bulls Company has appointed Zenay Jordaan as head coach of the Isuzu Bulls Daisies on a contract running through to 2029.
Jordaan steps up from within the Bulls structures, having spent two seasons as assistant and co-head coach with the franchise. She is one of only two women's coaches in South African rugby to hold a World Rugby Level 3 qualification and earned 36 Springbok women's caps during her playing career.
"My expectations are to align better with management, put proper cultural structures in place and establish a clear identity," said Jordaan. "A winning culture has already been created. I want to improve our planning and take it up a notch."
In her new role, Jordaan will oversee all phases of the game plan, training methodology and strategy. Her involvement in the women's game extends beyond the franchise — she has contributed to both the Junior Springboks and the senior national squad, as well as across all Blue Bulls Rugby Union levels of the women's programme.
BBCo Executive for Strategic Projects and Women's Rugby Thando Manana described the appointment as "a massive statement of intent," adding that the goal is to build a world-class high-performance culture rather than chase scoreboard results alone.
