Canan Moodie is on track to return from a hamstring injury for the Bulls' URC home match against Zebre Parma this Saturday, with assistant coach Neil de Bruin confirming on Tuesday that the utility back has returned to full training. A final call on his availability will be made later in the week, with the Bulls set to name their side on Friday.
The Bulls enter the final two rounds of the regular season in strong shape, hosting both remaining opponents and requiring a maximum of 10 points to give themselves the best chance of a top-four finish. Zebre sit bottom of the log, though De Bruin was quick to caution against complacency, noting their attacking threat and physicality in defence.
On the subject of bonus points, De Bruin was direct: the Bulls will not be chasing them. "Don't think about the bonus points. Don't think about the result at the end," he said. "If you look too far into the game and think we need to score four tries, you end up forcing things and chasing things." His message to the squad is to focus on process, with the belief that the scoreboard will take care of itself.
"We haven't spoken at all in our team meetings or individually even about the permutations," De Bruin added. "We've just got to be better than we were last week as a starting point."
