Suleiman Hartzenberg has joined the Sharks on a one-year loan deal from the Stormers, running until June 2027, ahead of the 2026/27 URC and Champions Cup seasons. The utility back, who can play wing or outside centre, made his Stormers debut against Connacht at Danie Craven Stadium in 2022 and has been a regular in the Cape side since.

Meanwhile, the Stormers are pursuing loan deals for scrumhalves Faf de Klerk and/or Louis Schreuder, according to Rapport. The move comes after Imad Khan picked up an injury, Dewald Duvenhage announced his retirement, and Asad Moos departed for the Lions.
