Marcell Coetzee is free to play this weekend after a URC disciplinary committee dismissed a citing complaint stemming from his yellow card during the Bulls' Round 4 win over Ulster on 24 October.

Despite the bunker review having already confirmed the yellow card was the correct sanction on the day, a citing commissioner pursued the matter believing the incident met the red card threshold. The panel — chaired by Ben Rutherford (Ireland) and including Declan Goodwin and Chris Morgan (Wales) — disagreed.

The committee found that Coetzee's cleanout was principally shoulder-to-body, with any head contact deemed incidental and of low force — a finding corroborated by both the player and his opponent, along with medical evidence. Under the World Rugby Head Coach Process, the degree of danger was assessed as low, making the yellow card the correct outcome.

Coetzee has been named on the bench for the Bulls' URC Round 5 fixture against the Scarlets, their last outing before the November Test window.
