Adre Smith has been added to the expanded Springbok squad, joining the group ahead of the Barbarians test and the SA 'A' clash against Zimbabwe on Saturday, June 20, at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha.
The Stormers lock, who has accumulated more than 50 caps for the franchise, follows provincial teammate Ruben van Heerden into the national setup, with Van Heerden having joined the squad last week.
Smith will report to the squad in Johannesburg on Sunday as preparations resume from Monday, following a weekend break with families. The group departs for the Eastern Cape on Wednesday afternoon, with captains' runs for both the Springboks and SA 'A' scheduled for Friday.
Rassie Erasmus and SA 'A' head coach Mzwandile Stick will name their respective matchday squads on Tuesday.
