Adre Smith has been drafted into the Springbok squad to bolster the lock stocks ahead of the Barbarians match and the SA 'A' side's clash against Zimbabwe, both scheduled for 20 June at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha.
The Stormers lock, who has more than 50 caps for his franchise, joins fellow Stormers lock Ruben van Heerden, who was added to the expanded group last week. Smith will link up with the rest of the squad in Johannesburg on Sunday, with preparations resuming from Monday after the players were given the weekend with their families.
The squad departs for the Eastern Cape on Wednesday afternoon. Both teams hold their captains' runs on Friday, with Rassie Erasmus and SA 'A' head coach Mzwandile Stick set to name their respective matchday squads on Tuesday.
