Canal+, SARU and NZR have confirmed that SuperSport will broadcast the full Rugby's Greatest Rivalry series — all four Tests and four provincial matches — live across South Africa and the rest of Africa on DStv and GOtv.
The All Blacks' first full tour to South Africa since 1996 opens with a provincial fixture against the Stormers on 7 August, followed by matches against the Sharks (11 August), Bulls (15 August) and Lions (25 August). The Test series begins on 22 August 2026, with two Tests in Johannesburg and one in Cape Town before the series concludes in Baltimore, USA, on 12 September.
The 1996 tour ended in a 2-1 series victory for the All Blacks — the only New Zealand touring side to win a series of three or more Tests in South Africa since the first visit in 1928. The Springboks go into the series as World Rugby's top-ranked side, with Dave Rennie having taken charge of the All Blacks since that last meeting on South African soil.
CANAL+ Africa and MultiChoice Group CEO David Mignot, SARU CEO Rian Oberholzer and NZR CEO Steve Lancaster all pointed to the strength of audience demand on both sides of the rivalry in confirming the agreement.
