The Springboks and All Blacks are locked at 12-12 at half-time at FNB Stadium, with Ardie Savea scoring twice for New Zealand and a Bok penalty try levelling things up after Kurt-Lee Arendse's earlier effort.

The Springboks and All Blacks are level at 12-12 at half-time in Johannesburg, with both sides trading blows in a bruising first 40 minutes that saw two sin-bins, two injury withdrawals and a penalty try.

Ardie Savea got the All Blacks off to a flying start with a converted try inside 10 minutes, before Kurt-Lee Arendse hit back for the Boks — playing with the wind at their backs. Savea then crossed for his second to extend the New Zealand lead to 12-5 after 25 minutes.

The Springboks levelled through a penalty try off their scrum four minutes before the break, with the set piece proving a decisive weapon in clawing back the deficit.

Both flyhalves were sin-binned for cynical offences, while Savea and Cheslin Kolbe both left the field with injuries before the interval.
