Vusi Moyo captained the Junior Springboks to an 82–25 victory over Fiji at Wynberg Boys' High School on Tuesday, with the SA U20s leading 56–11 at the break and running in 12 tries across the 80 minutes. Moyo slotted 11 of his 12 conversions for a 22-point haul — identical to his contribution against Chile last week.

Despite the commanding margin, both Moyo and head coach Kevin Foote pointed to a late drop in concentration that allowed Fiji to cross for several consolation tries. "That's something we'll definitely look at," said Moyo. "It's an area we can go back and work on."

Moyo, playing his second consecutive full 80 minutes in the captaincy role, framed the week's work around building test-match discipline. "We spoke a lot this week about having a strong test-match mentality and improving our maturity in how we manage the game, and I think that definitely showed today. The guys are excited for what's ahead and to show how good this team can be."

Now in his second season with the Junior Boks, Moyo credited the influence of teammates Riley Norton and Esethu Mnebelele on his leadership development. "I've learned a lot from the leaders around me and I'm just trying to implement what I've gained."

Foote was encouraged by the squad depth on show, noting that players are "really putting their hands up across the board," but reinforced that sustaining focus for a full 80 minutes remains a priority as the Junior World Championship in Georgia approaches in a month.

The Junior Boks face Georgia on Saturday at Markötter Stadium in Stellenbosch, where Foote confirmed further rotation is planned. "Georgia will be physical and passionate, and it's another great step for us as we build towards the Junior World Champs."
