Malcolm Marx could be set for a return to South African rugby, with reports linking the Springbok hooker to the Bulls. According to Rapport, the Bulls have held discussions with Marx, who is currently with Kubota Spears in Japan Rugby League One, though no formal negotiations have taken place.
The 32-year-old would reunite with Bulls director of rugby Jake White's successor Johan Ackermann at Loftus should a deal materialise. The interest comes with the Bulls facing a thinning of their hooker stocks — Junior Bok captain Siphosethu Mnebelele is set to depart for the Sharks later this season, leaving Johan Grobbelaar, Juan Else and Juandré Schoeman as the specialist options, alongside versatile loosies Marco van Staden and Jan-Hendrik Wessels who can cover the No.2 jersey.
