Lions name Quan Horn and two Bok debutants for All Blacks clash at Ellis Park

Quan Horn starts at fullback and Francke Horn captains the side as the Lions name their team to face the All Blacks at Ellis Park on Tuesday, with Boan Venter among the replacements and three new signings — Sikhumbuzo Notshe, Hyron Andrews and Boeta Chamberlain — set for their Lions debuts.

The Lions have named three Springboks in their squad to face the All Blacks at Ellis Park on Tuesday evening, with Quan Horn and Boan Venter released from the national squad to bolster the Johannesburg side.

Horn starts at fullback, while Francke Horn captains the side from number eight in a loose trio alongside Siba Mahashe and Batho Hlekani. The midfield pairing of Richard Kriel and Henco van Wyk is backed by Chris Smit at flyhalf and Nico Steyn at scrumhalf.

Three new recruits — Sikhumbuzo Notshe, Hyron Andrews and Boeta Chamberlain — are all in line for their Lions debuts off the bench, with Boan Venter also among the replacements.

Angus Gardner referees, assisted by Karl Dickson and Nika Amashukeli, with Brett Cronan as TMO. Kick-off is at 19:00 SAST.
