The Bulls have announced seven incoming signings for next season, headlined by Springbok fly-half Curwin Bosch from Pro D2 side CA Brive and Thaakir Abrahams from Munster, with both completing deals alongside five other recruits in what the club is framing as a statement of intent ahead of the 2026/27 URC campaign.
Bosch has signed a three-year deal, while Abrahams puts pen to paper on a two-year contract. They are joined by 19-year-old Luan Giliomee and Hakeem Kunene — both on three-year deals — as well as Dylan Maart, Sango Xamlashe and Mawande Mdanda, who have each signed two-year agreements.
The signings form part of a broader squad overhaul at Loftus, with several current players departing at the end of the season. On the retention front, Hanro Liebenburg has committed on a three-year deal, Jean Erasmus, Heinrich Theron, Pieter van der Merwe and Demetri Erasmus have all signed fresh three-year extensions, and JJ Theron has extended for a further two years.
Blue Bulls Company CEO Edgar Rathbone said the club had been deliberate in targeting specific areas of depth and experience. "Bringing in players of this calibre, ranging from proven match-winners to the most exciting young talent in the country, is a clear statement of our intent. We are building a squad capable of sustained success in both the Vodacom URC and Europe."
Johan Ackermann's side currently sit fourth in the URC and are targeting a second successive Grand Final appearance.
