The URC Grand Final is set for Croke Park in Dublin on Friday, June 19, with the Bulls facing Leinster at 19:30 local time (20:30 SA time).
The unusual venue comes down to a scheduling clash — the Aviva Stadium is unavailable that weekend due to a Metallica concert, leaving Croke Park as the only suitable option in the Dublin area, with GAA fixtures occupying the ground on Saturday and Sunday.
Leinster secured their place in the final by beating the Stormers 20-11 at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday, having earlier eliminated the Lions in the quarter-finals. They are chasing back-to-back URC titles, which would make them the first club to win the competition more than once since the South African franchises entered the competition.
The Bulls reached the final after defeating Munster in the quarter-finals and then producing a 22-21 upset over Glasgow Warriors at Murrayfield on Saturday. It is the Bulls' third URC Grand Final appearance — they lost to the Stormers in 2022 and to Leinster last season — and Johan Ackermann's first shot at the title after taking over from Jake White.
The match will be live on SuperSport in South Africa and Premier Sports in the UK and Ireland.
