The Springbok Women face Ireland in two WXV Global Series Tests at Athlone Stadium in Cape Town on 24 and 31 October, both kicking off at 15h00. Tickets are available via Ticketmaster from R50 per match, or R150 for a package of four.
It marks the first time Ireland have visited South Africa, and only the second meeting between the sides — the first came at the 2006 Women's Rugby World Cup in Canada, where Ireland won 37-0.
Ireland arrive ranked fifth in the world and in decent form, having beaten Japan twice in the WXV Global Series before a narrow defeat to the USA. The Bok Women completed their WXV tour with wins over Italy and Spain after an opening loss to Wales, adding to a 2026 campaign that also included the Rugby Africa Women's Cup title, a drawn home series against the USA, and a defeat to the Black Ferns.
SA Rugby CEO Rian Oberholzer described Ireland, alongside New Zealand, as probably the Bok Women's toughest opposition of the year. "The Bok Women showed with their victory over the USA in Johannesburg earlier this season that they can take on higher-ranked teams," he said.
Australian referee Jess Ling takes charge of both Tests, with Precious Pazani (Zimbabwe) and Giana Viljoen (South Africa) as assistants, Matteo Liperini (Italy) as TMO, and South Africa's Quinton Immelman as Foul Play Review Officer.
