World Rugby has confirmed the full HSBC SVNS schedule for the 2026/27 Series and the 2027 World Championship, with all six Series host cities retained and the Blitzboks among the eight men's teams confirmed for the campaign.

The Series opens in Dubai on 28-29 November before moving to Cape Town Stadium on 5-6 December. Singapore, Perth, Vancouver and New York follow before the World Championship plays out across Hong Kong (9-11 April), Valladolid (21-23 May) and Bordeaux (28-30 May).

South Africa enter the season as defending Series and World Championship holders on the men's side, having claimed both titles in 2026 — the Series in New York and the World Championship crown shortly after. The confirmed men's field comprises South Africa, New Zealand, Spain, Australia, Argentina, Fiji, France and USA.

On the women's side, Australia are the defending World Champions and Series winners New Zealand are also in the confirmed eight, alongside Canada, USA, France, Japan, Fiji and Spain.

The 2027 season carries extra weight as the first full Olympic qualification cycle for Los Angeles 2028. World Rugby Sevens General Manager Sam Pinder noted record attendance in Hong Kong during the past season and pointed to the growing digital footprint of the Series as indicators of the competition's trajectory heading into the Olympic build-up.
