The All Blacks head into next weekend's first Test against the Springboks with a perfect three-from-three record on their pre-Test tour after dismantling the Bulls 50-19 at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday in front of 30,930 spectators.
Josh Moorby, Cody Taylor and Leroy Carter each crossed twice, with Rieko Ioane and Wallace Sititi adding further tries as New Zealand ran in eight for the match. Beauden Barrett and Josh Jacomb shared the kicking duties, with Jacomb converting four.
The Bulls made a reasonable fist of the first half, having two tries disallowed by the TMO, but when they went a man down with New Zealand leading 12-0, the All Blacks capitalised immediately to close out the half at 24-0. Ruan Vermaak, Stravino Jacobs and Marcell Coetzee scored second-half consolation tries for the hosts, with Stravino Jacobs' effort from a blindside move on halfway the pick of the three. Curwin Bosch, making his first appearance for the Bulls, and Jeandre Rudolph were among the more prominent home performers.
The victory rounds off a pre-Test schedule that also produced a 38-21 win over the Stormers in Cape Town and a 54-0 demolition of the Sharks in Durban — the three matches drawing a combined attendance of 93,000. The first Test against South Africa takes place at 10bet Ellis Park in Johannesburg next Saturday, kick-off 17h10.
