Zenay Jordaan has been appointed as Bulls Daisies head coach on a contract running until 2029, the franchise confirmed on Monday.
Jordaan brings 36 Springbok Women caps to the role and is one of only two women's coaches in South African rugby to hold a World Rugby Level Three qualification. She transitions into the top job having spent two seasons within the Bulls Daisies structures as assistant and co-head coach.
"I'm still trying to absorb everything, but I'm very excited," said Jordaan. "My expectations are to align better with management, put proper cultural structures in place and establish a clear identity. A winning culture has already been created. I want to improve our planning and take it up a notch."
As head coach, her mandate covers all phases of the game plan, training methodologies, and overarching strategy, with a brief to maintain high-performance standards while promoting an expansive style of play.
BBCo Executive for Strategic Projects and Women's Rugby Thando Manana framed the appointment as a statement of intent. "Zenay is not just a coach; she is a trailblazer who carries the DNA of South African women's rugby. We aren't just looking for results on the scoreboard; we are building a world-class high-performance culture."
Beyond her work with the Bulls Daisies, Jordaan has contributed to the Junior Springbok Women and senior national squad programmes.
