The Springboks arrived in Buenos Aires in the early hours of Sunday morning after travelling from South Africa via São Paulo in two separate groups, landing at their team hotel within an hour of each other. The squad has a rest day before returning to training on Monday in preparation for next weekend's Test against Los Pumas at Estadio José Amalfitani.
Rassie Erasmus confirmed that the bulk of the match preparation was completed at a training camp in Johannesburg earlier in the week, giving the squad a solid foundation to work from in Buenos Aires. Players who stayed behind for the Rugby's Greatest Rivalry series planning against New Zealand reassemble later Sunday and also return to training on Monday.
"It's great to be back in Buenos Aires, and we are looking forward to the challenge of facing the Pumas here once again," said Erasmus, who added that he will consult with his coaching staff before deciding when to announce his matchday squad.
