The Springboks arrived in Argentina in the early hours of Sunday morning after flying from Cape Town via São Paulo in two travelling groups, both checking into their team hotel within an hour of each other after midnight. The squad will have Sunday off before returning to training on Monday ahead of next week's Test against Los Pumas at Estadio José Amalfitani.

Rassie Erasmus confirmed that the bulk of the preparation work was completed at a training camp in Johannesburg earlier in the week, giving the squad a solid foundation to build on during their time in Buenos Aires. A separate group that remained in South Africa to focus on the upcoming Rugby's Greatest Rivalry series against New Zealand will reassemble on Sunday and also return to training on Monday.

"It's great to be back in Buenos Aires, and we are looking forward to the challenge of facing the Pumas here once again," said Erasmus, who added that he will consult with his coaching staff later on Sunday before deciding when to announce his matchday squad.
