Springbok Women's blockbuster 2026 schedule confirmed with Italy Test added

The Springbok Women's 2026 schedule features home Tests against the USA, Black Ferns and Ireland, plus a trip to Italy — all four opponents ranked in the world's top 10.

The Springbok Women's 2026 schedule now includes a trip to Italy to face the Azzurre at the Stadio Omero Tognon in Fontanafredda, completing a calendar that pits them against four top-10 nations across home and away Tests.

The schedule opens with a two-Test home series against the USA (ranked 8th) on 4 and 11 July, followed by a historic clash with the Black Ferns (2nd) at FNB Stadium on 5 September — a fixture that marks the first time South Africa will host New Zealand in a women's Test at that venue. The team then travels to Italy (6th) before returning home to face Ireland (5th) at Athlone Stadium in October.

The last meeting between the Bok Women and Italy came at Rugby World Cup 2025, where South Africa won 29-24 to advance to the quarterfinals.

Alongside the senior programme, the SA 'A' Women's side will face Brazil Women at Pacaembu Arena on 29 August.
