The Sharks have confirmed that André Esterhuizen, Phatu Ganyane and Jurenzo Julius will return to South Africa for scans and specialist consultations following injuries sustained in Friday's 36–21 bonus-point URC win over Cardiff.

Esterhuizen sustained a right ankle injury, Ganyane a right elbow injury and Julius a right hamstring injury. The severity of all three will be determined once the players are assessed back home.

To cover the losses, the Sharks have called up Cameron Dawson, Litelihle Bester and Suleiman Hartzenberg, who joined the touring squad on Sunday.

The Sharks conclude their tour against Munster on Saturday before the November Nations Cup window.
