SA Rugby is taking legal action against travel agencies that sold tickets to today's Castle Double Malt Rugby's Greatest Rivalry Test at DHL Stadium without ever having secured access to them, leaving clients without entry on matchday.
In communications with affected fans, the agencies attempted to shift blame onto SA Rugby, a claim the union flatly rejects. SA Rugby confirms the companies were never granted ticketing access by the union or its official ticketing agency, and that selling tickets under those circumstances breached the event's terms and conditions of sale.
SA Rugby has handed the matter to its attorneys.
