Garry Ringrose will miss Ireland's entire Nations Championship home series next month after the IRFU confirmed the Leinster centre is sidelined with a hamstring injury. He joins captain Caelan Doris and fly-half Jack Crowley among the notable absentees from Andy Farrell's squad.

Ringrose, 31, will continue his rehabilitation with Leinster and is considered unlikely to feature in any of Ireland's three November fixtures — against Argentina on November 6, Fiji on November 14, and the Springboks on November 21, all at Lansdowne Road.

Fly-half Sam Prendergast remains in camp but continues his own rehabilitation from a wrist injury, while utility back Jimmy O'Brien is working through concussion protocols after sustaining the knock at the weekend.

Ireland arrive at the home leg having won two of their three July fixtures, beating Australia and Japan before losing to New Zealand.
