Garry Ringrose will miss Ireland's three Nations Championship home fixtures in November, the IRFU confirmed on Tuesday, ruling the Leinster centre out of next month's Tests against Argentina, Fiji and the Springboks at Lansdowne Road.
The 31-year-old is managing a hamstring injury and will continue his rehabilitation with Leinster. He joins captain Caelan Doris and fly-half Jack Crowley — both already ruled out — in an increasingly depleted Irish backline ahead of what is a critical Nations Championship block.
Sam Prendergast, who has stepped into the fly-half role in Crowley's absence, will remain in camp while continuing to rehabilitate a wrist injury. Utility back Jimmy O'Brien is managing a concussion sustained at the weekend and is targeting a return to full training later this week.
Andy Farrell's squad has assembled in Dublin ahead of the November 6 opener against Argentina. Ireland then face Fiji on November 14 before hosting the Springboks on November 21.
Ireland's Nations Championship campaign began with wins over Australia and Japan in the July window before a loss to New Zealand. The competition concludes with a finals weekend at Twickenham from November 27 to 29.
