The Hollywood Foundation Pumas Women remain the team to beat in the Pick n Pay Women's Super League 2, stretching their unbeaten run to four matches with a 50-0 demolition of the Limpopo Blue Bulls Women in Nelspruit on Saturday. The result lifts them to 20 log points — a perfect haul through four rounds.
Megan Guambe crossed for another brace, taking her tournament tally to eight tries and 44 points in four matches. The Pumas were measured in the first half with three unanswered tries before cutting loose after the break to add five more.
In Kimberley, AVBOB Griquas Women moved into second place with a 41-26 win over the Valke. Three quick first-half tries gave Griquas early control, but the Valke fought back to keep it at 22-12 at the break. The hosts dominated the second half, with wing Maserati Bangaza completing a double and a penalty try among the additions. Griquas sit on 11 log points.
SWD Eagirls climbed to third on 10 points with a 50-19 bonus-point win over the Griffons in Welkom. The Griffons led early and made it 21-14 at half-time, but the second period belonged entirely to the Eagirls. Both wings ran riot — Mia-Lee Matiwane and Chante Jonck each dotted down three times to power the visitors to a comprehensive victory.
The Limpopo Blue Bulls remain winless at the foot of the standings after four rounds.
