Hunter Paisami's bid to feature in the Bledisloe Cup Tests has failed after his appeal against a four-match ban was unsuccessful, with SANZAAR confirming the suspension following his dangerous tackle on Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu in Australia's 42-38 Rugby Championship win over the Springboks in Perth.

The Disciplinary Committee found Paisami guilty of dangerous play for a contrary tackle in breach of Law 9.13, setting a mid-range entry point of six weeks before applying a two-week reduction in recognition of his acceptance of guilt, disciplinary record, conduct and remorse. The resulting four-week suspension rules him out of both Bledisloe Cup Tests — at Eden Park in Auckland and Accor Stadium in Sydney.

The incident occurred in the 76th minute, when Paisami was shown a yellow card on the field. The tackle simultaneously led to Tom Wright's intercept try being disallowed. Paisami was subsequently cited, and while he had been provisionally included in Les Kiss' squad pending the disciplinary outcome, he is now replaced by Queensland Reds back Jock Campbell.
