Rassie Erasmus has confirmed that Siya Kolisi injured his opposite hamstring during South Africa's 17-10 win over Argentina in Buenos Aires, but says the latest setback does not appear serious.
Kolisi, who had been carefully managed back from a previous hamstring problem, lasted 24 minutes before leaving the field. Erasmus was nonetheless complimentary of his captain's contribution while on the park.
"He injured his hamstring, the other hamstring, but it doesn't look too bad," Erasmus said post-match. "I thought Siya was really dynamic with his carries and his clean outs."
Andre Esterhuizen also departed the field in the 65th minute after failing an HIA. The centre had only just returned to the starting line-up after fracturing his cheekbone ten minutes into the Ellis Park victory over England — an injury initially feared to be a concussion before blood from his ear indicated the fracture.
