Siya Kolisi signed off his Sharks career with two tries as the franchise closed their URC campaign with a 54-19 demolition of Zebre Parma in Durban.

Kolisi was the standout forward, making a major first-half break through midfield before scoring from a lineout drive, then crossing again in the second half before being withdrawn at the 60-minute mark. He was on course for a hat-trick when he left the field.

André Esterhuizen was the dominant force in the backs, carrying a match-high 17 times for 86 metres and beating nine defenders. His highlight reel moment came late in the game — an offload out the back of his hand as he hit the deck to create the final try.

The performance also showcased two of the Sharks' promising youngsters. Nineteen-year-old fly-half Simphiwe Vusi Moyo marked his debut with a composed display — accurate off the tee and a try of his own for a 15-point haul. Eighteen-year-old fullback Zekhethelo Siyaya, who joined the franchise earlier this year, scored his first professional try in what has been a consistently impressive debut season.

Emile van Heerden was influential up front, both as a carrying threat and in dominating the lineout — including causing problems on Zebre's own throw. Nick Hatton contributed an early charge-down and the offload that set up Jaco Williams' opening try.

Williams himself scored and showed pace on the wing but was turned over three times and missed a couple of tackles, blemishes that will be more costly against stronger opposition. Deon Slabbert was barely sighted throughout.
