Siya Kolisi and Ox Nche remain doubtful for Saturday's first Test against the All Blacks at Ellis Park, though Rassie Erasmus indicated on Monday that both could still come through in time.

"The only two doubtful players … Siya and Ox, I wouldn't say they're injured still, I think it's niggles," Erasmus said at a press conference in Johannesburg. "If they get through today it probably might be good for us."

Kolisi has been managing a hamstring problem that ruled him out of the first three Rugby Championship matches against England, Scotland and Wales. He returned for the one-off Test against Argentina in Buenos Aires earlier this month but departed early after aggravating the same hamstring. Nche has been sidelined since suffering a knee injury in the England opener.

Erasmus confirmed that Franco Mostert is "looking good".
