The Springbok Women will retain their current coaching structure going into WXV, with Laurian Johannes-Haupt confirming the arrangement after the 20-52 defeat to the Black Ferns at FNB Stadium last Saturday.
Johannes-Haupt and Franzel September will continue as co-head coaches, with Junior Springboks assistant coach Melusi Mthethwa remaining involved in the setup. Mthethwa was brought in by SA Rugby to help prepare the squad for the Soweto Test following Swys de Bruin's resignation, while the pair had already been guiding the side in Fiji and at the Rugby Africa Cup in Kenya.
"For now, we will stay the way we are. Coach Melusi will still be part of us," Johannes-Haupt said. "His energy has been amazing. He brings a different perspective of how he does attack. We've had coach Swys as our attacking coach, and he was brilliant as well, so this is just another variation of how we want to play."
De Bruin's resignation had been known to SA Rugby and the coaching staff prior to the public announcement, according to De Bruin himself.
The Springbok Women face away fixtures against Wales and Italy in WXV before hosting Ireland in a two-Test series in Cape Town in October.
