England have disclosed their preparation methods for combating altitude ahead of the July 4 Test against the Springboks at Ellis Park, sharing footage on TikTok of players using wattbikes and portable hypoxic generators to simulate conditions at 3000 metres above sea level.
The match will be the first between the two sides on South African soil since the 2018 Ellis Park encounter — the same game in which Siya Kolisi made his debut as Springbok captain — when South Africa overturned a 3-24 deficit to win 42-39.
