Phepsi Buthelezi and Carlu Sadie have been added to the Springbok training squad as preparations begin in Johannesburg ahead of the double-header weekend in Gqeberha on 20 June.
Buthelezi, who made his Test debut against Portugal in 2024, joins from the Sharks and was due in camp on Monday evening. Sadie arrives from Bordeaux Bègles — where he was part of the European champions — on Wednesday, having participated in the Springbok virtual alignment camps from France.
The Stormers contingent landed in camp on Monday following their URC semi-final in Ireland over the weekend, completing the early wave of arrivals.
On-field preparations kicked off on Monday for two fixtures at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium: the Springboks against the Barbarians and SA 'A' against Zimbabwe, both on 20 June.
"The excitement in the group to get the season underway is palpable," said Erasmus, who also confirmed both new arrivals would "slot in with ease."
The squad for the opening Nations Championship leg against England, Scotland and Wales will be announced on Sunday, 21 June.
