The Springboks and All Blacks will travel together on a shared charter flight to Baltimore for the fourth and deciding Test of the series, scheduled for 11pm on Saturday, 13 September at M&T Bank Stadium.
Rassie Erasmus confirmed the arrangement, noting it is standard practice for southern hemisphere tours. "We fly on the same charter, us and New Zealand on the same plane," he said, drawing a comparison to the shared flights with Argentina. "Yesterday you were going hard at each other, and now we're sitting in a plane for many hours — it's an interesting experience."
Erasmus described the usual seating protocol: coaches and the most-capped players in business class, with the rest of the squad in economy, though he noted the players have a full row to themselves to rest. He emphasised that the recovery challenge is identical for both sides.
Regardless of Saturday's third Test result at Soccer City — which will leave one team ahead 2-1 or the series locked at 1-1 after a draw — the fourth Test at the 70,000-capacity home of the Baltimore Ravens will be the series decider.
