World Rugby has confirmed officiating changes for the second and third Tests of the Rugby's Greatest Rivalry series after Nika Amashukeli failed to recover from illness in time for this weekend's Test at DHL Stadium in Cape Town.
Angus Gardner steps up to take charge of Test Two on Saturday, 29 August, with kick-off at 17:10 SAST. Karl Dickson and Sam Grove-White serve as assistant referees — Grove-White filling the vacancy created by Gardner's promotion — while Brett Cronan acts as TMO and Eric Gauzins as FPRO.
Amashukeli will now referee Test Three at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on Saturday, 5 September. Gardner remains in the officiating group that weekend as an assistant referee, joined by Christophe Ridley. Gauzins moves to TMO for that match, with Cronan serving as FPRO.
