SARU President Mark Alexander has extended congratulations to Rassie Erasmus, Siya Kolisi and the Springbok squad following their victory in the inaugural Castle Double Malt Rugby's Greatest Rivalry series against the All Blacks in Baltimore.
Alexander praised the Baltimore community for its reception of the event, noting that the city "turned green" as thousands of supporters gathered, and singled out the Baltimore Ravens organisation for their role in hosting. He also acknowledged New Zealand Rugby for their collaboration in making the series possible.
The SARU President framed the Baltimore Test within World Rugby's broader US development strategy, describing it as a step in the buildup to Rugby World Cup 2031.
